I originally went out to shoot Pine Mountain yesterday near Saint George, Utah because they just got a fresh blanket of snow a couple nights ago, but as I was hiking to this location I found many "burnt" tree's, I'm guessing from a forest fire caused by lightning. Either way, it made for some very interesting pictures.

The trees give such a great contrast with the detailed grasses. Love the colors too!

Love it! St. George doesn't usually get snow this time of year. This made for a good shot! I know my hometown of Fillmore (just 2 hrs north of St. George) received 5 inches. Those mountains make for some wonderful photography!

You're right:) St George didn't actually receive any snow, it was just the mtns. we usually get snow on them. I love how st george gets no snow, but the surrounding area's do. :)

Yeah haha, that's St. George for you! Even Cedar City gets dumped, and down there doesn' really get anything. Kinda weird actually lol.

wow, this is great.

wonder if B&W would work for this, it seems so with the contrast and light, though it might lose to much by losing the warm tone.
