Well, there are some aspens that turn red rather than yellow,
but they seem relatively uncommon.
I've always assumed that it had something to do
with that year's climate/rainfall
since what is red one year
is not necessarily red the next.
It could be my monitor also,
but I don't think so.

I wish there were ruts in this photo instead of the boring trees. Trees are all over the place. Ugly ruts are not.
