What a beautiful place. This stream was so cold but SO refreshing to drink from. It ran down from a high country lake further up which we tried to hike to.

Southwestern Colorado

Vision: I like the framing of this photo. You have the stream leading perfectly to the peak back there. I love the mix of vivid green and reddish brown of the rocks.
Originality: A scene like this is one that I am always on the look out for; and they are perhaps my favorite type of mountain scene. Unfortunately, good ones are few and far between, and you managed to capture one!
Technique: The shutter speed seems a bit too long, and you lose a lot of detail in the water. I would have like to see a little wider view. Maybe by stepping back a few feet if possible, or zooming out a bit. The peak in the background seems dwarfed.
Impact: Again, I am a sucker for these scenes so I love it. My challenge to you now is to return in early summer/ late spring when that peak still has some snow on it. I would LOVE to see that scene!

Superb shot my friend!

I am disappointed it doesn't show camera fstop and shutter speed. Obviously it is slow; oh wells.

hey sorry to disappoint! I believe for this picture it was something like 1/8 a second and f/22. Wasnt too late in the day.

I was just happy with the glowwy frothiness. I thought it mighta been even slower then 1/8th

Usually people shoot water at higher shutter-speeds to chop it up, and that makes me sad :)
