Virgin River Gorge by michael-dalberti Virgin River Gorge by michael-dalberti
The Desert just leaves me in awe - I find myself always longing for it when I leave.

This was taken in the Virgin River Gorge, in Arizona at sunrise.

"The Virgin River Gorge, located between St. George, Utah and Littlefield, Arizona.

Interstate 15 runs through the canyon and crosses the Virgin River several times. The Virgin River Gorge section of Interstate 15 is one of the most expensive parts of interstate highway ever constructed. Due to the winding of the interstate, the canyon is also noted for its tricky driving conditions.

The climate of the canyon is typical of the Mojave Desert with hot summers and mild winters. Flora and Fauna in the canyon are also typical of the Mojave. The canyon is popular among outdoor recreationalists such as rock climbers, hikers, and campers."

Man, talk about some golden light hitting those rocks. Beautiful tone and texture and everything... I can feel what it was like to be there. What a beautiful desert morning.

Very beautiful shot! I love the warm colors of the rock and how you managed to capture the rays of the sun while at the same time not over exposing it and making it too bright! Awesome shot! The info on that spot is great as well, thank you for including it. :D

Brilliant light.
It's good how you managed to expose even the sun witouht loosing sharpness in the rocks.

Good job.
