The Mojave Desert can be one of the hottest deserts in North America - we average around 110 degree's during the summer months. During this period, we have some of the most spectacular thunderstorms you can witness. This particular one brought a wind that knocked up tons of sand off of the ground, making visibility very low when I drove back to civilization.
Oh what fury and havoc storms can bring, but man are they beautiful.
